Psalm 27 - A Psalm for David
This morning I was reading Psalm 27 and a few sections stood out to me, so I thought I would share it.
1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?The LORD is the stronghold[a] of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
7Hear, O LORD, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me! 8You have said, "Seek my face."My heart says to you, "Your face, LORD, do I seek." 9Hide not your face from me.
13I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! 14Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!
Verses 13-14 really stood out to me because of the situation that Dawn and I are in. We need to remember the promise that God has a great plan for us and he will shine down his goodness in our earthly lives.
I can be inpatient and frustrated that the search is not going at the speed I want it to, but I need to remember to be strong, take courage, and wait for God. It certainly does take a lot of courage to wait on God. It is just so instinctual to want to try and speed up things and take control of them on our own. But, God is good, and he will take care of us.
God, I long to seek your face, do not hide your face from me!
I hope that these passages are uplifting to you as well in whatever you are going through.
